When New Jersey’s Gazzo asked Chicago’s Dani Deahl to collaborate on a song, he had no idea there would be such chemistry in the studio. In fact, after creating two originals in less than a week, the duo decided to try their hand at remixing. Dani picked Patrick Baker’s nu-disco “Summer Lover” and within two days there was a finished product. Breaking from the harder edge both artists are known for, this funky house remix stays true to the original’s buttery feel while giving it a dance floor edge. Flowing from breakdown synths reminiscent of old French house, to poppy keys and buzzy risers, it’s evocative of electro but with a laid back twist. Enjoy the free download!
