Following the announcement that ‘Hey Brother’ is to be the third single to be taken from Avicii’s acclaimed debut album ‘True’, the artist has now unveiled a new remix of the track from fast-rising Estonian producer Syn Cole. The remix was given its world premiere by international tastemaker Pete Tong on his revered BBC Radio 1 show on Friday night.
Harnessing the brave fusion of sounds that underpin the original, Cole delivers an anthemic crossover production. Keeping the rousing vocal at the core of his remix, he builds layers of shimmering melodies and bouncy drums into his joyous electro house production.
As well as forging his own path as a DJ and producer, Avicii continues to nurture and champion upcoming artists through his own record label, Le7els. Amongst the label’s burgeoning roster of talent is Syn Cole, whose reputation has skyrocketed this year since being signed up to Le7els. Following the release of ‘April’ on the label earlier this year, he will be releasing new single ‘Miami 82’ on 25th November.
‘Hey Brother’ is out 23rd December on Positiva / PRMD.
