Protocol Recordings, Nicky Romero’s prominent label, releases Bassjackers’ new single, “Zing,” out today via Protocol Recordings. Following up on Don Diablo & CID’s acid-laced floor filler, “Prototype,” Protocol Recordings keeps up the rave-ready vibes with Bassjackers – the Dutch heavy weights undeniably making waves in the scene. This forthcoming release, “Zing,” takes on a larger-than-life sound with booming drums and a bit of electro flavor to balance out the mix. With the release of their stunning debut album ‘People Of The Night’ in September of last year, long-time friends and collaborators AN21 & Max Vangeli cemented their positions as leaders in their field. Teaming up with fellow production duo Promise Land to return to album track ‘Glow’ with a fresh remix earlier this year, they have now unveiled the cinematic official video for the track, which is available to watch now.
Staying true to the emotive power of the original production, the video reflects the new energy they bring to the remix. Reworking the melodies into bold, sweeping arrangements, they re-enforce the track’s drive with big drums and a grinding bassline.
Brothers in arms AN21 and Max have quickly established themselves as rising stars of the EDM world. Hotly tipped in the early stages of their career, they have substantiated the hype with releases both as individuals and as a duo. They have released music on Size and Refune and they’ve remixed the likes of Ellie Goulding, Pendulum and Gorillaz, culminating in the release of their debut album ‘People Of the Night’ last year. As DJs they’ve played at all the world’s finest clubs and international festivals while also presenting one of 2011’s finest Essential Mixes for Radio 1.
Italian duo Promise Land have spent the last couple of years releasing records on top international labels like Cr2, Spinnin’, Big Beat and Subliminal, remixing the likes of Swedish House Mafia and Kelly Clarkson and touring internationally. With an arsenal of surefire dance floor hits, there is plenty more to come from them in 2013.

Featured in Jody Wisternoff’s “Anjunadeep 05″ mix, “Feeling” is built around a sharp bouncing bassline and infectious vocal snippets, wound together by some of Smith’s trademark shimmering atmospherics.
If “Feeling” is a sun-soaked terrace anthem, then “Maybe” is a genuine peak time stormer, complete with a heavy low end groove, woozy soundscapes and crisp, shuffling percussion. Picking up early support from a host of underground DJs, this one’s set to do some dancefloor damage.
Things get moodier still with “FWD”. Garage influenced drums make way for a pounding bassline, accompanied by subtle stabs and a breakdown of arpeggios, vocal cuts and drifting sirens to round off a bold and exciting debut EP for Meramek.

The first half of this year has been hectic for T.Williams, to say the least, but having ensured his studio time throughout the London producer is now ready to drop his first original material of the year. The four track ‘Feelings Within’ EP is the follow-up to last year’s acclaimed ‘Pain & Love’ EP for PMR and succinctly showcases the evolution in Williams’ sound across its diverse spread.
EP opener ‘On My Own’ featuring homegrown talent TALA is a slinky, low slung house groove that pairs its expansive chords with the singer’s soulful vocals, delivering both a fresh club production and an emotive modern soul track. Up next, ‘Mobb’ hones its focus directly on the dance floor, drawing on Williams’ underground background with an incisive drum skip and huge slaps of bass that reverberate through the low end. For ‘Smile’ T is joined by Tendai, who he has worked with previously on ‘Think Of You’. Here her rich vocals are pinned to a sunkissed house track replete with a fluid groove, shimmering synths and an undeniable chorus. The EP is then completed by the sharp garage-inflected swing of ‘Three Letters’, a powerful club track with soaring diva vocals and infectiously layered riffs which perfectly temper the track’s bumping, swollen bassline.
Whether its his increasingly hectic international touring schedule, his recently finished weekly radio show on leading underground station Rinse FM or being brought into to remix a breadth of artists, from Lianne La Havas to Wretch 32, 2013 has been filled with exciting steps forward for T.Williams. Currently out in New York as a participant in the lauded Red Bull Music Academy and with his next US tour alongside label mates Disclosure looming, the new EP will undoubtedly prove to be a watershed moment in his career.
Tracklist:
1. On My Own ft. TALA
2. Mobb
3. Smile ft. Tendai
4. Three Letters
