Following stomping collaborations with Hardwell (‘Dynamo’) and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (‘MORE’), Laidback Luke is back at it again with his latest single. This time he is teaming up with French figurehead and fellow dance music titan Martin Solveig, fresh from the release of his latest hit single ‘Hey Now’, for their collaboration ‘BLOW’, which will be released on Luke’s own Mixmash Records imprint soon.
After Martin Solveig first premiered the track to tens of thousands of frenzied partygoers at Tomorrowland last month, it was clear by the crowd’s reaction alone that this was a summer smash in the making and now it has been announced as a new Mixmash single. With vocals from the mystery ‘Ludi’ and Martin Solveig himself, ‘BLOW’ combines the very best of the pair’s studio prowess with an undercurrent trademark energy that epitomises the two individuals’ sounds.
Having received such an incredible reception at its Tomorrowland debut, both Luke & Martin thought that now was the perfect time to share it with those not fortunate enough to partake in the madness of Tomorrowland.
A masterpiece that was actually conceived by Luke & Martin in Sydney’s Turning Studios in between two Stereosonic shows in 2012, we think fans the world over will quite rightly agree that the time has come to share the love! With a release date still to be confirmed, stay tuned to Laidback Luke & Martin Solveig’s official Facebook pages for up-to-the minute information and announcements.

Following the release of Sick Individuals’ latest EP for the label, Steve Angello’s X imprint returns with ‘I Get Droned’, the new release from Harry Romero, Armand Pena and Roland Clark. The track is set for release on 2nd September and continues in X’s mission to explore fresh musical avenues, bringing a classic house flavour with an updated contemporary edge.
The collaboration sees a collaboration of the legendary trio of Harry Romero, Armand Pena and Roland Clark, who between them have an immeasurable list of house music credentials that reaches back through two decades. Their distinctive sounds and techniques combine to craft this timeless house track. The production is a perfect combination of deep, rolling house beats, fluid percussive layers and a hypnotic synth loop which keeps the track driving, tied together by the repeated vocal of ‘I get deep, I get deep, I get deep, but I love it when I get droned’.
Founded by Steve Angello on the tenth anniversary of Size records, X is quickly asserting itself as a fresh force in house music with a rapidly expanding catalogue. Having all cemented themselves as stalwarts of the house music world, the three artists featured on ‘I Get Droned’ continue this trend in fine style with a deep dance floor cut.

“Good Guys” graduate, Ralph Good, certainly has a nose for those essential party edits and bootlegs. This time round, he’s has taken a sure-fire banger from upcoming Australian producer Motez and given it the Ralph Good lick of paint; tried and tested at the Zurich Street Parade, “Find The Funk” is guaranteed to leave dance floors gasping for more.
Keeping the atmospheric build up and strings from the original “Find Me”by Motez, the inevitable Ralph Good drop may come as a bit of a surprise – plenty of booty bass swinging in from all angles to leave you screwfaced and head-bobbing like the proverbial chicken.

Toolroom Records is proud to present the much anticipated summer smash from Quivver Feat Angel Hart ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’, with remixes by Ben Delay, David Penn, Pammin and a sun-kissed video shot in Miami.
A versatile and accomplished producer, Quivver has gained support for his many and varied club releases from A-list DJs such as Sasha, Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold and John Digweed. He has also garnered a loyal fanbase through his consistent quality productions and continues to deliver much sought after club anthems and underground hits.
Now, after months of hype, Quivver’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ is set to be unleashed to take over the party season. Expertly using delicate layers of percussion alongside luscious piano chords and those enchanting vocals from Angel Hart, Quivver has created the perfect summer anthem.
Ben Delay delivers a deeper but electro-inspired remix, pumping up the synth melody without distracting from the piano and vocals, a perfect compliment to the original. House veteran David Penn provides the techier and more underground take on the original, bringing the percussion to the fore with pitched-down vocals and a rawness set for the clubs. Finally, Berlin’s Pammin turns in a deep and euphoric remix, with beautiful chords & a gentle guitar lick that take hold to lose you in the music.
Alongside the package, the music video transports you to carefree summer parties surrounded by friends and like-minded people. Sure to be a summer smash, expect to hear ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ in clubs, on the radio and at the beach this summer.

The Futuristic Polar Bears have really made 2013 their year and we’ve still got 4 months left! The Polar Bears have just released a brand new remix on the fresh Hospital Club Records label and have had one of their tracks feature on the huge ‘We Are Perfecto’ Album series by Paul Oakenfold – we’ve been lucky enough to catch them for a few minutes to ask them some questions!
Hi guys! It’s been a while since we talked so fill us in on what has been happening for the Futuristic Polar Bears in the last few months.
Hey! We’ve been really busy working in the studio – we’ve been working on some new collaborations alongside Danny Howard (BBC Radio 1), D.O.D, Judge Jules & Antonio Giacca.
You’re going to be playing at the Gallery Club at the end of this month, are you excited? What can we expect to hear from the Futuristic Polar Bears?
We can’t wait to make our debut in the Box at Ministry and its going to be a great night playing alongside Julian Jordan & Martin Garrix. We’ve got loads of new music to test and we can’t wait to see the crowd’s reaction!
Do you prefer playing festivals, or the smaller club gigs?
Both have their great qualities… Festivals are great fun because there is nothing better than playing in front of thousands of people on a big system! Small clubs are also brilliant because they’re more intimate and you can really gauge the crowd’s reaction.
You have remixed the debut single ‘Can You Dance’ from the newly formed Hospital Club Records, how did this come about?
We went over to play at Hospital Club in Russia on NYE and we had a great time; the club was bouncing till 6am and the owners were really cool – they looked after us and we must have spent hours in the office after the gig talking about music. About 4 months ago they asked if we’d like to be part of the debut release on their new label and obviously we jumped at the chance! We’re really looking forward to getting back over there to rock the club again!
Not only is ‘Can You Dance’ gaining massive support but your track ‘Rock This City’ is also making huge waves in the EDM world, featuring on the Gatecrasher and We Are Perfecto albums – did you ever expect this when you released it?
We knew the record had some legs in it as we’d been road testing if for months and it had gained some great support from BBC Radio 1, Michael Woods, Kryder, Paul Oakenfold, DOD, Danny Howard, East & Young, EDX and many, many more. It’s always great to get compilation support and we were really happy to find out it’d made it onto these great albums.
What can we expect to hear from your next single?
Our next single is out in September on Carillo Music in the USA – it’s a collaboration with Radio 1’s Danny Howard called Thundergod. Between us, we’ve playing it out all summer and it’s had great reactions from places like Ibiza, Global Gathering, Greece and all over the UK.
I’ve heard you’re working with Judge Jules, any information you can tell us about that?
It’s been great to produce music with a legend like Judge Jules and we’re really excited about the track! It features vocals from Chrom3 of Dizzy Rascal fame and we can’t wait to share the preview with you – that should be coming early September. Again, Jules and ourselves have been playing it all summer-long and the reactions have been amazing.
What was it like getting to work with Judge Jules?
Jules as a great guy to work with and really switched on when it comes to his music. The track combines both our styles and it’s been great fun combining both influences.
You have many collaborations coming up over the year, who would you most like to work with?
One day we’d love to work with Michael Woods. The guy is incredible and we love his production skills – the sound he gets out of his track is on another level, everything always sounds warm and analogue.
It seems every DJ has their own podcast now – tell me a little bit more about yours, why should people listen to it?
Our podcast doesn’t stick to one style of house music and we try to make the show as informal as possible. We try to have a laugh when making it, try and incorporate new music and really push new sounds. Our guest mixes are hand-picked and we really try to offer something different on a weekly basis; the guests range from a special anniversary mix from Kissy Sell Out, right through to a deep and groovy mix from Toolroom Records’ label manager Pete Griffiths – there’s always something for everyone!
What else do the Futuristic Polar Bears have planned for the remainder of 2013?
We have some more original productions to release that we are finalizing at the moment, as well as a follow up to “Drift” alongside East & Young. Touring-wise, we have a busy back end to the year with tours of Asia, India and Russia, as well as a UK Tour alongside Danny Howard and performances at the Amsterdam Dance Event festival in October
Enjoy this free mix from the trio…

With the love for giving a complete live-produced experience to the public, Seb Sanchez and Oris D, both well-renowned Djs who evolved on a different electronic music universe, merged to what we now know as Ultimate Breakers. There are few tunes which are able to so perfectly capture the atmosphere and energy of a dance floor in the full throes of carefree hedonism, but Inner City’s seminal “Good Life” does exactly that – even now, 25 years later. With a remix package to celebrate the iconic tune that has been hand-picked by Inner City’s Kevin Saunderson himself, Matt Smallwood’s mix stands out head and shoulders above the rest.
When you’ve got Carl Cox personally getting in touch to give you the thumbs up, you know you’ve hit the jackpot. Matt’s mix manages to take all the classic elements that made this tune so danceable in the first place and give it a new lease of life for the dance floors of 2013. You’ve got the ever-so-catchy vocals that demand to be sung along to, that riff you’d recognise in an instant and a funky bassline to round it all off. If you’re not dancing, you’re singing – it’s as simple as that.
Since it first aired on Mark Knight’s Toolroom podcast three months ago, it has received regular playtime from Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Andi Durrant and, of course, Carl Cox throughout this summer’s Ibiza season. It’s currently sat at number 2 on the DMC Buzz chart and is released via Beatport on the 27th August; the hype surrounding this track is understandably huge so head over to Matt’s Soundcloud page to sample the Good Life for yourself.

September marks the return of Daddy’s Groove to the charts, collaborating this time with Mindshake for a hot new single: ‘Surrender’ featuring Angelo Iossa, will be released exclusively on Beatport on the 2nd of September through David Guetta’s Jack Back Records.
‘Surrender’ is a huge new anthemic dance music track. It has already received early support from David Guetta, who played it out on one of the world’s biggest stages at Tomorrowland earlier this summer. The track is already receiving a lot of hype from listeners, now eagerly anticipated.
Not without reason, for ‘Surrender’ immediately stands out right from the start, incorporating country flecked guitar strums and an uplifting soulful chord progression. It comes with all the secret ingredients of a summer anthem with its thick electronic texture of synths, electro leads, heavy kicks and top quality production techniques, all overlaid with beautiful vocals from Angelo Iossa.
After their recent hit single with Rob Adans – ‘Unbelievable’ released earlier this summer, Italian Trio ‘Daddy’s Groove’ have received international acclaim and support from Pete Tong, Kiss FM, Radio1, and David Guetta. They seem unable to do no wrong at the moment, and this new release with Mindshake has ‘Chart Topper’ written over it.
Throughout 2013 the Italian trio has continued to assert their dominance over today’s electronic music scene. Released in January, ‘Stellar‘ quickly reached #3 in the Beatport Top 10 chart, with its official video amassing more than 1.4 million views on Youtube. This massive success has been quickly followed-up by a handful of other huge singles such as ‘Vertigo’ on Guetta‘s Jack Back label, or ‘Unbelievable’ feat. Rob Adans [Doorn], which has reached the No.2 position in the Beatport chart.
As well as DJ’ing at the most prestigious clubs and events around the world, Daddy’s Groove have recently embarked upon their residency at David Guetta’s renowned ‘F*** Me I’m Famous’ residency at Pacha, UshuaĆÆa, Ibiza & Miami.

What’s it like to be an internationally-known DJ and return home for a whirlwind weekend of gigs, press and catching up with friends and family? Joanne Hill aka SYDNEY BLU takes us on a journey back to her former home of Toronto in episode four of her documentary series, “Being Sydney Blu,” where she headlines the annual Pride Festival and spins into the afterhours at former residency spot, Footwork. She also gives viewers a history lesson in her upbringing in the Toronto dance scene and what it was like to be one of the first DJs from the city to break out internationally.
We hear from Sydney’s old friends and early supporters, along with former promoters who were the first to book her in the city’s thriving underground. As one of the few women to seriously pursue a career in DJing in the early 2000s, the episode is a unique look at Sydney’s determination and perseverance in her climb to the top and the people who helped her get there.
After a jam-packed set at Pride Central Stage in front of over 5,000 people, Sydney and her entourage head to her afterhours party at the #4 club in North America, Footwork. As Sydney explains, she began playing at Footwork over eight years ago when it first opened and the club and owners hold a special place in her heart. The night rages on until almost dawn and as Sydney ends her walk down memory lane, she reflects on the accomplishments in her 15+ year career, with tribute to the city where she came from. What’s next for Sydney Blu? You’ll have to wait until episode 5 to find out!
About “Being Sydney Blu” – The Series
Black Hole Recordings presents a biographical documentary series titled “Being Sydney Blu.” Each episode will look beyond how you perceive Sydney Blu as a DJ, giving the viewer an exclusive inside look on her daily life as a regular person. Experience first hand the hard work that Sydney puts into in her career, along what she does in her free time to get away from it all. New episodes will be released regularly, highlighting different locations based on her show schedule. The series is produced by Blurred Pictures.

Swedish superstar Avicii unearthed & welcomed newcomer Audrio to his label Le7els last year, and he is now set to release his new single ‘Dreaming Wide Awake’ on the label on 3rd September. The original production from the Swedish prodigy confirms Le7els‘ uncanny eye for scoping out promising talent and unlocking their true potential.
Showcasing once again his masterful fusion of melodic progressive house leads and gritty electro beat work, Swedish up-and-comer Audrio confirms the country’s reign on the international scene. ‘Dreaming Wide Awake’ sees him leap from euphoric leads to thumping basslines and dirty beats crafted in a dynamic arrangement. On remix duties, Daniel Beasley offers the perfect counterpoint, delivering a more laid back, fluid version of the track while retaining its dance floor edge.
Inspired by Daft Punk, Avicii, Alesso and Swedish House Mafia, and after much experimenting, Audrio created his trademark modern acid sound. It is now fair to say that Audrio emerges this year as a solid investment to Le7els‘ House empire.

Hold tight for one of the biggest records of 2013… The new MK vocal edit of Storm Queen’s ‘Look Right Through’ will be released later this year on Ministry of Sound/Defected, following MoS’s recent hits from Bingo Players feat Far East Movement and Duke Dumont feat A*M*E (both No.1), Chris Malinchak (No.2), and current anthems Mike Mago’s ‘The Show’ and Alex Metric & Jacques Lu Cont feat. Malin’s ‘Safe With You’.
Storm Queen’s ‘Look Right Through’ first surfaced on Defected in 2012, and MK’s Dub III quickly became an underground hit via Beatport and an astonishing array of DJ supporters. To date, MK’s Dub III has become THE YouTube deep house anthem, with over 2 million combined views, hit the Top 10 Shazam pre-release chart (No. 5 in Top 20 pre release and No.20 on the main Top 200 chart) and so far received repeat plays from Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Danny Howard, MistaJam and many more, with widespread support from 1Xtra, Kiss, Capital, Juice (ROTW) and beyond.
‘Look Right Through’ (MK Remix) is currently one of the biggest tracks of this summer’s dance festivals, now with a full vocal, which Pete Tong premiered on Radio 1, it’s destined to light up the oncoming winter charts.
The track is the work of Storm Queen aka American DJ/producer, Morgan Geist and former ‘subway singer’, Damon C Scott. Geist is also known as one half of celebrated US house duo, Metro Area. A cult figure with the global electronic music movement, his output has covered disco, house and boogie, with each release displaying a clear affinity with the dancefloor.

As ANGGER DIMAS prepares to release his debut full-length album Angger Management, out September 3 via Dim Mak Records, the globe-trotting producer/DJ has unveiled the full track listing and album details for what has quickly become one of the industry’s most anticipated electronic releases of the year. Featuring a wide selection of elite producers and vocalists, Angger Management boasts a premier roster of collaborators and unreleased tracks that explore multiple sub-genres within the extensive electronic umbrella and are set to take the burgeoning artist to new heights. Grab a free download of the Angger Management Mini-Mix, a set arranged by ANGGER DIMAS himself highlighting tracks from the upcoming album, here:
Angger Management is ANGGER DIMAS’ most ambitious release to date, highlighting his versatility as both a songwriter and producer. The album delves deep into the worlds of electro house, pop, moombahton, hip-hop, progressive vocal house, hardstyle, and beyond. On opener “Resurrection” (VIP Album Mix), ANGGER brings the heavy electro crunch, immediately continued on “Annihilation Army,” a collaboration with Dim Mak founder and mentor Steve Aoki.
On several spotlight tracks throughout the album, ANGGER DIMAS dominates with pop-leaning hooks and melodies in the female-driven vocal tracks featured on Angger Management: the silky and sensual “Release Me” (VIP Album Mix) with singer-songwriter Polina; the matured production prowess of “More Than Just A Feeling” featuring Tara McDonald (U.K.) and acclaimed guitarist Piyu; and the major crossover appeal of “Take A Breath” featuring Cassie Crawford.
ANGGER DIMAS breaks new boundaries with his moombahton-influenced track “Good Stuff,” a tag-team effort with artist Vandalism, and Dutch-rave banger “123” with producer D.O.D., while rapper and fellow Dim Mak artist Will Brennan brings the fury on trap adventure “Speakers Bout To Blow.” Elsewhere on Angger Management, ANGGER revives classic disco-house on “World Wide Love” whilst revisiting his electro roots on “AAAH!” and the dubstep-tinged “Assassin.”
In support of the album, ANGGER DIMAS is launching his Angger Management fall tour, a North American headlining trek kicking off September 1 with a high-profile performance at this year’s Electric Zoo in New York City at the Dim Mak Up All Night Stage. The tour will then take him across premier venues and festivals throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Ruby Skye in San Francisco, Avalon in Los Angeles, and an anticipated performance at the inaugural TomorrowWorld, where Dim Mak is again hosting the Up All Night Stage. Look for more dates to be announced soon.
Since launching his career as a producer at a tender age from the fringes of Jakarta, Indonesia, ANGGER DIMAS has risen through the ranks of the EDM world at the speed of light. His numerous productions have been supported by the top figures in the electronic space, including Steve Aoki, Tiƫsto, Laidback Luke, Tommy Trash, Vandalism, Static Revenger, and many more.
