Toronto’s very own Bedouin Soundclash released their enchanting tune “Brutal Hearts” off of their album “Light the Horizon” back in 2010. The gentle yet surprisingly honest creation bears a rich and organic sound crafted from wooden percussion, light chimes and a smooth bass line. To top it all off Coeur de Pirate joins lead singer Jay Milanowski for a shivering duet. Now ‘Brutal Hearts’ has been re-imagined by a selection of electronic artists, drawing it out on to the dance floor with a palette of nuanced house remixes.
JEUDI Records chief and creator of the track ‘The Voice of Dru’ Doctor Dru brings his inimitable soul and groove to his remix of the Canadian original, which will be available via Beatport on 5th August.
As if this wasn’t enough, the full remix package will include additional remixes from Lexer, Chi Thanh and Peer Kusiv, each of whom brings a new perspective to the original that delivers on its full emotive dance floor potential.
